Introduction of the Department of Health, Psychiatric Nursing and Management
The department of Health, Psychiatric Nursing and Management is one of the departments of nursing field in School of Nursing and Midwifery of Mashhad, which has initiated its activity as an independent educational department since 1989. In fact, this department is a combination of three nursing fields of Community Health, Psychiatric Nursing and Nursing Management.
Educational activities of the department are related to the courses of Community Health, Psychiatric Nursing and Nursing Management in the Nursing bachelor’s degree. From the total 54 specialized theory credits in Nursing bachelor’s degree, 12 credits are presented by the professors of this department. On the other hand, four out of 18 apprenticeship credits of Nursing bachelor’s degree and four out of 21 apprenticeship credits in Nursing bachelor’s degree are provided by the department of Health, Psychiatric Nursing and Management. In addition, this department is in collaboration with other educational departments, including Midwifery, Anesthesiology and Operating Room and Emergency, in terms of offering specialized courses related to educational collaboration.
This department recruits MSc students in fields of Nursing Community Health, Psychiatric Nursing and Nursing Management.
